As part of a loft conversion project with one of our Trusted Partners, the customer expressed interest in incorporating solar energy. ACT collaborated closely with the home developer to explore various integration methods for solar panels, ensuring both aesthetic appeal and maximum energy efficiency.

Given the significant changes to the roof structure during the conversion, we determined that installing in-roof solar panels would be the optimal solution. This approach not only streamlined the construction process but also enhanced the overall appearance of the roof by seamlessly integrating the panels.

In October 2023, we successfully installed 12 high-efficiency solar panels into the newly converted roof. These panels are equipped with the latest photovoltaic technology, designed to maximise energy capture even in low-light conditions. Since their installation, the panels have generated an impressive 2.24 MWh of energy, significantly reducing the homeowner's carbon footprint and energy bills.
