The installation at Springfield Mills in Farsley, Leeds for commercial landlord Gaunts Ltd is one of the largest in the local area. Encompassing three buildings, including an original Victorian spinning mill, the installation comprises 538 JA Solar modules designed to maximise energy production and efficiency in each of the available roof areas. The system consists of SolarEdge P1100 & S440 optimisers alongside a 10kW, 50kW and two 66.6kW SolarEdge inverters. By installing grid-point import and export energy metering, the client can use the SolarEdge monitoring system to view their consumption and examine how they are using the generated power at their site. Since being commissioned in Mid-June 2023, the site has produced 101.3 MWh of energy.
The site is finding their numerous tenants are using between 80- 93% of the energy generated each day (Mon-Fri) when most tenants are occupying their unit and are looking forward to seeing the further benefits of their reduced electricity bills over the coming months.
